We travelled a few short miles to the Spirit Lake Ministry Center, our final destination for Sunday. We were warmly greeted by Mike and Libby who are our hosts for the week. Mike told us we will be building a deck and a ramp for a man, but the rule of the camp is to "be flexible."
The forecast for Sunday night and Monday was rain with a high chance of muddy roads. Many of the roads in the area are under construction and consequently have a lot loose dirt on them. Unfortunately it makes for a dirty automobile. Who ever makes the most mistakes this week will have to wash the van before it gets returned to the rental agency.

In an effort to abide by the rule of the camp, we remained flexible when we found out our job site had no electricity and would require a delay to a start of the decking and ramp installation. Luckily there were tasks to be performed around camp, so we set to work building shelves for the food panty/clothing distribution center on site. We disassembled some pre existing clothing racks and set to task building some shelves for the various clothes to be put out to be dispersed.

While we cleaned out the room, Larue found himself a very good back-scratcher.
Seeing the completed shelves was a great feeling of accomplishment, but we had finished the task well ahead of schedule just after lunch. We then moved all of the donated goods from the worship center into the pantry area.

In order to get the boxes of donated clothing from the Ministry Center to the pantry, we loaded up the front and rear of the tractor instead of carrying the boxes one at a time across the yard
And you'll never guess who passed her tractor license test while we were away in North Dakota....

After everything was moved into the pantry, we were tasked with unboxing and inspecting the donations so that they are suitable to be worn and are in good working order. The rule of thumb was to not put anything out that we wouldn't wear ourselves. Some of the things we found donated matched some of our outfits or looked just too cute not to try on!!!

At the end of the day we had successfully built and installed shelves, unboxed and stocked the clothing pantry and served God while "being flexible."
